This article shares tips about deciding how to connect to your upcoming Nutanix Hosted Proof of Concept (HPOC) session.

You'll receive communications from your Nutanix Representative with the login credentials and URLs needed to complete the session. We offer two tools to help you securely access your HPOC session. Both options will use the same lab credentials provided by your representative and are easy to install, configure, and use. If your representative does not have a preference, you can choose one of the two options below.

VPN

VPN is a great choice if you wish to use dual monitors or have native tools you need to use during your session. GlobalProtect requires that you download, install, and configure the VPN client. If you already have GlobalProtect installed and use it for corporate VPN purposes, you can simply add a new portal specific to HPOC.

VDI

For closer proximity to the environment without downloading and installing a client, choose a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure application. Note that with VDI, you don't have to download and install a client, but it is recommended for the best user experience. With VDI, you can access shared folders and command line tools. The Nutanix HPOC environment utilizes Parallels.

Be sure to consult your Nutanix Representative for lab credentials and to select the appropriate datacenter (Phoenix, Durham, or Bangalore) link below to begin:
