We've completed a few noticeable features and bug fixes within the past few months. This article summarizes features and fixes recently released.
Introducing Community Reservations
If you've ever needed to jump into a cluster quickly, then Community Reservations is a new feature you'll like! Saving time by allowing you to jump into an already deployed HPOC environment, access new features, or show a quick demo on-demand. If you're working on personal development or testing, you can share your reservation with others in your organization, allowing instant access to a cluster. Watch this short clip and click here to learn more.
We would love your feedback and suggestions on our new Community Reservation. Use the in-app support tool to send us a message!
Launch of a New Shared Move Source
To make it easier for teams to demo Move, we have set up a shared environment in the HPOC that can be used as a Move source location. You may still reserve clusters to deploy ESXi Hypervisors. However, using the shared vCenter is the preferred method and is easy to use. Click below to learn more!
Service IP Assignment Changes
Recently, we made some changes to how IP addresses are allocated as part of Runbook deployment. This was a prerequisite to allowing Runbook deployments in NC2 and non-HPOC networks.
One of the biggest side-effects of this change is that Runbook-based Prism Central deployments will no longer use the 10.x.x.39
address they have (for multi-node clusters). Instead, the launch button on each cluster contains all deployed services that are relevant to a given Runbook.
Version Updates within the HPOC
Recently, we updated the list of AOS versions you can select to deploy within RX.
AOS 6.10 Now Available
AOS 6.10 now available in HPOC, including deployment support for older hardware
We recommend deploying via a Custom Workload as PC deployment is not currently 1-click enabled, and Classic Deployments WILL NOT properly deploy PC
PNP 2.0 Licensing Now Available
Custom Workloads with AOS 6.7.1.5 and PC 2024.2 or newer will have NCI Ultimate and NCM Ultimate license auto-applied
Any runbook using AOS 6.7.1.5 and PC 2024.2 or newer will have appropriate licenses applied for products deployed
Read More about licensing in the HPOC
Finally, making life easier, weβve also released an AOS + PC Demo - Latest runbook that will deploy a PNP 2.0 licensed AOS 6.10 Demo Setup with PC 2024.2, Files, Self-Service enabled, Flow Microseg enabled, with WinTools and Linux Tools VMs deployed. ππ
Post Reservation Survey
We're implementing a brief survey at the end of each reservation to maintain a constant pulse on RX UI and the HPOC environment. It will take less than a minute to tell us about your experience, but it will give us insights on an ongoing basis. These surveys are optional, but we hope you'll let us know about your reservations so we can continue to support you in the best possible ways.
Additional Updates and Fixes
βοΈ Users can now provide a fallback preference when there are failures resulting from a lack of licenses of a given version/edition within the ESXi pool.
