Modify Workloads
Have you ever created a workload only to realize you need to add or remove a software component? Maybe you've deployed a Runbook for a boot camp but now wish to switch quickly to another Runbook. Now you can! We've added the ability to edit the workload you've selected or built without having to re-create it. Read this article for all the details and guidelines you'll need to follow to modify an existing workload successfully.
Using the Deployment Planning tab, click the Modify button on the desired workload. Of course, you can't use the Modify option while deployment is in progress.
Generating Passwords
A new option is available to quickly generate a new system password for your reservation.
Navigate to the Settings tab. Click on Generate Password to receive a new, system-generated password. Don't forget to click on Save at the bottom of the page. If your cluster has already been deployed, you will need to update the cluster password manually as well as remember to Reset Lab Users option to update deployed lab users.
Reservation Collaborators
Using the Share option allows reservation owners to add collaborators. Collaborators can assist with adding clusters, creating workloads, and deploying workloads.
But what happens if a Collaborator decides to delete a Reservation? Before this release, the Reservation was deleted! Going forward, only Owners can delete Reservations. Collaborators have an option to "Leave" the reservation.
For example, if Jason wishes to delete this reservation from his Dashboard, Dustin and I can still complete our reservation goals. RX will remove Jason from the list of Collaborators.
Additional Fixes and Updates
πͺ² Workloads can no longer be deleted while actively deploying.
πͺ² We've also corrected an issue allowing users to redeploy a workload to clusters assigned that have expired.
πͺ² Invalid Usernames will no longer cause vCenter registration to fail during deployments.
