We are excited to announce major enhancements within the NCP Fundamentals Hands-On Labs! Several core hands-on labs used in conjunction with the NCP Fundamentals runbook have been updated, refined, and optimized for AOS 7.5. In addition to system stability improvements and Connection Details in RX, we are officially launching a NEW comprehensive hands-on lab centered around Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) on AWS.
đ 3 Bootcamp Guides with Updated Content
To maintain alignment with the latest Nutanix software releases, the following core updates have been applied across all NCP Pt. 1, NCP Pt. 2, and Migrate lab environments:
Version Upgrades (AOS 7.5): Updated all content, guides, and underlying infrastructure for NCP Pt. 1, NCP Pt. 2, and Migrate labs to AOS 7.5.
Visual Polish: Updated screenshots across all Migrate labs to ensure consistent VM naming and clarity throughout the exercises.
Guide Fixes: Resolved a known issue in the VM Prefix section of NCP Pt. 2 to guarantee that specified prefixes are properly appended to generated virtual machines.
Automated VM Cleanup: Unused virtual machines not associated with an active reservation are now automatically cleaned up from the Source cluster pool, freeing up system resources and ensuring peak performance.
đ New Connections Tool in RX
As part of an initiative to give instructors and lab users an easier way to see all necessary credentials, we've introduced a first step in an ongoing plan. The new Connections Details button in RX streamlines lab preparation and reduces participant setup overhead:
Formatted Spreadsheets: Instantly generate a formatted spreadsheet populated with all required connection details (IP addresses, login credentials, and endpoints) for any lab.
Enhanced Efficiency: Dramatically cuts down lab preparation time and speeds up student onboarding during live training sessions.
Refreshed Templates: Mail merge templates have been refreshed and aligned directly with the NCP Fundamentals labs. Use these to quickly update, customize, and send to your lab participants.
