Implementation Plan Notifications

Weekly Digest

Beginning the week of September 25, 2023 an Implementation Plan Weekly Digest email will be delivered to you and CC'd to your manager's email inbox. The goal of this email is to highlight opportunities that still need an Implementation Plan.

Email Structure / Opportunity Categories

You'll receive an email showing Opportunities that require Implementation Plans and meet the following criteria:

  1. At or above 75% Tech Close Status without an Implementation Strategy.

  2. At or beyond Stage 5 Technical Win without an Implementation Strategy.

  3. Opportunities that have an Implementation Strategy, but are missing an Implementation Target Deadline OR the date is prior to the Opportunity Close Date.

For each opportunity the following information will be provided in the email:

  • Opportunity Name

  • Account Name

  • Close Date

  • Tech Close % / Stage Number / Implementation Target Deadline

  • Links to access the opportunity in Helper and Salesforce

How do you determine which opportunities to categorize?

Using nightly data reports, we find all opportunities matching the following criteria:

  • Opportunity is Closing within the next 90 days

  • An Implementation Plan is expected on the Opportunity (i.e. not a renewal, services only deal, etc.)

  • You, the SE, are listed as the SE Owner of the opportunity

We then analyze those opportunities to see which (if any) of the categories these opportunities fall into and then send the email accordingly.

Note:

  • If no opportunities match one of the above categories, then that section won't appear in the email.

  • If you have already completed Implementation Plans for all your opportunities, you'll not receive an email for that week

Why include notifications related to Implementation Target Deadline?

The Implementation Target Deadline represents the date which your customer expects/needs the proposed solution within the opportunity implemented to meet their business outcome. [Discussing timelines for implementation is a best practice to help you validate and/or uncover services requirements]

In this first measure of quality, we're looking for Opportunities where an Implementation Strategy has been defined and either:

  • No Implementation Target Deadline is provided

  • Implementation Target Deadline is prior to the Opportunity Close Date

Why don't you include a link to open Clari?

Due to the way Clari functions, we are unable to deep link into Clari to open a specific opportunity for editing.

Can I Unsubscribe from the Email?

No. At this time, SE leadership has determined this is a priority for the Presales community and any SE who is an owner of an opportunity matching the criteria above and their manager will be sent the weekly digest.

Pro Tip: Prevent this email notification and expedite updating using a custom Helper view. Create custom Saved Views (must be logged in to Helper to read article) displaying Opportunities missing Implementation Plans. Use the board layout and the criteria above to apply Filter Controls. Each week, quickly show and update any Opportunities without Implementation Plans to prevent a weekly notification. Or, if you receive a weekly digest, promptly update the Opportunities listed within the email because you've saved a filter to match the criteria above.
